Fife’s Bananas!
Fife's bananas!
Had a great gig at The Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy. From the moment I went on it was frenetic! First I spotted a woman with a guide dog who said she didn't even need it! Turns out she was training it in 'socialisation' which sounds like they were going for a wee drink later! When I asked if there were any International guests in, a guy from Cowdenbeath shouted 'me'. Exotic!
We had folk fae Methil and Buckhaven which both sound like a drug and a drink respectively! A guy called 'Daviiiiid' seemed to be the only gay in the village. We had a woman in from Sheffield who said she followed a man in uniform to Scotland. She didnae know him-she just followed him! He wasn't there so one began to question if this man was just 'in her heid!'
A well to do lady on the end in a jazzy top who came from Thorton ran a 'Vintage Cake Shop' ( cakes that have been in the window for years) called 'Bella And The Cake Fairy' which is probably the campest name I've ever heard! She named it after her daughter who incidentally is not called Bella!
And the winner of 'most unsubtle exit to the toilet' award goes to the ridiculously tall 19 year old jeweller who stood up, tried to crouch down and turned to the side hiding his face as he squeezed past almost every single person in row 2 from dead centre to the end of the aisle! And my finale man Johnny really went for the 'Girl Gone Wild' dance and topped off a fabulous night! Thanks guys and look forward to next time xxx
