Well, you guys came up trumps didn’t you!

After trying to cope with jet-lag having just arrived back from Oz the night before this gig I wondered if it would maybe be a little less hyper than my usual gigs? Not on your life!

This was riotous and we all became hysterical-I had a great time and the audience were fabulous! The girl who nipped off to the toilet, who I suggested had actually wet herself laughing and was wringing her knickers in the loo (we had this very funny physical image of her with her trying not to get her heels wet as she wrung!) made the night for me! And when her ‘clipe’ of a pal told us she video’s herself with horses it just got surreal! We never quite got to the bottom of what it is she actually does but the patter back and forth was truly hysterical by the end. This was easily the highlight of the evening! Thank god for wonderful people like that in the audience!

We also had ‘Amos Brearly’ lookielikey, sitting in the front who turned out to be from Cheshire with his charmingly manly husband ‘Bruce’, who, by way of tribute, showed up in a leather kilt-how lovely. Bruce was also the guy I got to introduce me as Susan Boyle, which at first he was extremely nervous about until I hugged him for support and he miraculously got a little too into it!

And another favourite moment of mine was when we chatted to ‘Gaye’-a woman who was named after the little village she came from. I asked did that mean she was from the ‘Gaye Village people’? It was too good to be true!

Anyway, Inverschnekkie, I loved that gig and I just wanted to thank you all for snapping me out of my jet-lag and straight back into into the very unpredictable, inspiringly energetic world of Comedy-you were a tonic!
